ExecuTime - Pay records missing in Munis after Move to Payroll

Description of Issue

Pay records outside the payroll period are not moving to payroll in Munis.

Context
  • Time Entry History

  • Employee Pending Time Entry

  • ExecuTime

  • Time Balancing

  • Pay Codes

Cause
  • The pays did move to Munis but were still in Employee Pending Time Entry.

  • The payroll period defined on the Payroll Start and Status screen did not include the extra day for the pays in ExecuTime.

  • This made them unavailable in Time Entry when using Find Pending.

Resolution

When the payroll is being created:

  1. Go to Payroll Start and Status (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status).

  2. Create the payroll and Generate as usual. From the Payroll Start and Status screen click Update. Adjust the Begin and End dates as needed. Click Accept.

  3. Go to Time Entry (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Time Entry Processing>Time Entry).

  4. Create the batch as usual and select Find Pending in the Menu. Click Examine.

  5. The pay lines from ExecuTime available to select will be within the date range defined on the Payroll Start and Status screen of the payroll.

  6. Go back to Payroll Start and Status (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status).

  7. Click Update and put the dates back to what they were originally.

Additional Information

When in a Time Entry batch and Find Pending is selected, then the option of Examine is clicked, pay records shown will be limited by the date range on the Payroll Start and Status screen.

Example:

  • The Payroll Period is 9/27/20-10/10/20.

  • The dates on the extra pays from ExecuTime are dated 10/11/20.

  • The Begin and End dates on the Payroll Start and Status screen will need to be 9/27/20-10/11/20 in order for the 10/11/20 pays to be available in Find Pending.
