Description of Issue

In Journal Reversal, a warning appears after entering a Year/Period in the Reversal Journal section that does not match the Default Year/Period listed in General Ledger Settings.

WARNING: The G/L Default Fiscal Year/Period of  XXXX/XX does not match the Effective Date Fiscal Year/Period of XXXX/XX.

Context

Journal Reversal

Cause

Year/Period in the Reversal Journal section does not match the Default Year/Period listed in General Ledger Settings.

Resolution

This is just a warning to prevent users who are intending to post to the Default Year/Period from accidentally posting to another period.

  • If the reversal journal is intended to be in a period other than the Default Year/Period, proceed with Output Post.
  • If the reversal journal is intended to be in the Default Year/Period, adjust the Year/Period and Effective Date on the Reversal Journal to match the Default Year/Period.
