NC ORBIT report has several retirees reporting that are inactive

Why are retirees reporting when they are inactive?

Cause

No Termination date and reason code was entered

Resolution
  1. Open the Employee Master > Dates Tab for the employee
  2. Select Update
  3. Enter the Termination Date and Reason Code
  4. Select Accept
Additional Information

The generate process creates a Period Record for every employee meeting the following criteria.

  1.  ALL of the following criteria:
    • Has a record in NC Employee Retirement Maintenance
    • Has a Location in the Employee Master that falls within the defined Location range
  2.  ONE of these:
    • Has a deduction gross in Employee Accumulators for at least one of the defined Deduction codes, for the defined Report Month/Year.
    OR
    • The employee has an Inactive date in the Employee Master, but no Terminated date AND no pay accumulators for the reporting period with a gross > 0.
    OR
    • The Plan Code in NC Retirement Maintenance is LOCWP (Local Governmental Employees System probationary employees under an employer imposed waiting period).
