Add a note on accounts

Is there a way to add a note on accounts, like to indicate bankruptcy?

Where can a note be added on an account?

Cause


Resolution

A note can be added to an account in Account Master.  It will be visible in Account Inquiry.


Financials> General Ledger Menu> Set Up/Chart of Accounts> Account Master

1. Click Search

2. Enter an account number; Accept

3. Scroll to the lower screen.  Under Account description section, click Account Notes.

4. Type a comment.

5. Click Save on the File menu.

6. Click Exit on the File menu.
