Cannot add account notes through Account Inquiry



Description of Issue

The Account Notes text box is greyed out and cannot be edited through Account Inquiry



Context

Account Inquiry 



Cause

Expected functionality. Account Inquiry is inquiry only, and account notes should be added through Account Master. 



Resolution

To add notes to an account through Account Master:

  1. Navigate to Account Master: Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Account Master

  2. Search on existing account

  3. Accept

  4. Scroll down and select the Account Notes button in the Account description section of the screen

  5. Enter any additional account notes

  6. Save

  7. Back


Note: Account Notes can be viewed through Account Inquiry by selecting the Account Notes button, but the text box will be grayed out. No editing of Account Notes can be done.
