Does ESS conforms to ADA guidelines
Description of Issue
- We are looking for information on how ESS conforms with ADA guidelines
Context
- Munis
- Employee Self Service (ESS)
- Vendor Self Service (VSS)
- Citizens Self Service (CSS)
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance
Cause
- A site has been asked how ESS conforms with ADA Compliance
Resolution
- By design, all MUNIS Self Service applications include accessibility features to help users with disabilities understand content and utilize the software
- ESS, and specifically our CSS website, was audited by a third party in 2016 using a conformance target of WCAG 2.0, Levels A and AA. The 2016 audit found that portions of CSS were conformant with WCAG 2.0, Level A and/or AA standards. Based on recommendations from the 2016 audit, Tyler also added accessibility features to CSS, VSS and ESS
- Tyler continuously invests in feature/function enhancements in all of its software applications. As part of this continuous investment, Tyler works in partnership with its clients to define and address specific client goals such as improving accessibility for persons with disabilities
