Description of Issue

Time entry is pulling extra hours for all employees in Earnings and Deductions.

Cause

Time is pulling into payroll via the Generate Earning and Deductions step and through the Time Entry batch.

Resolution

Check the defined Excluded Pay Codes during the Generate Earnings and Deductions to confirm if it's excluding the payment types brought into payroll through Time Entry batch processing. If those payment types aren't listed in the exclusions, they'll be included in payroll twice—once from the generation step and again from the Time Entry move. To fix this, add the desired payment type to the Excluded Pays in Generate Earnings and Deductions, and then rerun the payroll.

It's important to confirm that the intended run type is being used. Sometimes issues arise when a different run type is being used as it might have the incorrect exclusions set up.
