Upgraded TCM not able to add attachments getting a field FailureReason does not exist error



Description of Issue

Just upgraded TCM and getting an error, The field FailureReason does not exist on the default presentation for Empxxxx. This indicates an invalid document type setup that must be fixed by an administrator.

This causes documents to not be able to be added to TCM.

Cause

TCM upgrades between 4/15/2022 and early 4/18/2022 introduced an issue where the metadata on some of the Employee doctypes is not configured and saved correctly in the TCM Full Client. This results in an error when attempting to access TCM from Enterprise ERP in any module.

Affects all TCM deployments



Resolution

Contact CM or TSM Support should you see this error. Details on a permanent fix are in the works currently but Support can provide a temporary work around.

  • No Tyler Content Manager Document links have been configured for this Munis program. Contact your Administrator for help. (This error can be due to other causes)

  • Document Types node not found (May be seen when attempting to Rebuild Cache for TCM)
