MA Tax - Motor Vehicle Bill File Does Not Include Full Valuation With Cents

A motor vehicle bill file was created and does not contain a field with the full valuation of the vehicle to the cent.

The Department of Motor Vehicles started supplying the valuation of vehicles down to the cent. 

• This change by the Department of Motor Vehicles was accommodated by adding fields in at the end of the file with the full valuation of vehicles being billed down to the cent. 

  • If the bill file was created using the Output Excise Tax Bills (mmabills), this field can be found in positions: 779-787. 

  • If the bill was created using the Create Export Bill File (mmaexpfl), this field can be found in positions: 1831-1839
