How to create W-3 Report



Description of Issue

How do I create the W-3 report? My auditor is requiring this report and will not accept the W-2 Register.

Cause

W-2 total information is required by an auditor who doesn't accept the W-2 Register totals.

Resolution
  1. Access W-2 Forms Print: Payroll > W-2 and 1099-R Processing > W-2 Forms Print
  2. Click Define, enter the year
  3. Click Define and verify the Location, Check Loc, Group/BU, State, Employee and Name are not restricted
  4. Click Accept, verify the number of potential records selected matches your total number of W-2s
  5. Click W-3 Output in the ribbon
  6. Click Define and enter all fields on this screen as it pertains to your site
  7. Click Accept, click Print Report
Additional Information

The totals on this report should match the totals on your W-2 Register
