Why do I have employees with an adoption amount in Box 12 on the W-2?

Why is Munis pulling an adoption amount for two employees in Box 12 of their W-2s?

W-2 Code T was defined on two Pay Master records.

Access Employee W-2 and 1099-R: Payroll > W-2 and 1099-R Processing

1. Search on the employee pulling the adoption amount
2. Click Update, click on the Box 12 tab
3. Click into the line item T - ADOPTION, click Delete, click Accept

When a Pay Master record is defined with W-2 Code T - ADOPTION ASSISTANCE, Munis will generate the yearly accumulator amount tied to this pay code into Box 12 on the W-2 as an adoption amount.
