How do I Trace Retro Pay Generate?

Cause

Need To Trace Issue with Generate Retro Pay.

Resolution

  1. Open Diagnostic Utility and Run-Time Information (System Administration > General Administration > Diagnostic Utility and Run-Time Information)

  2. Click the Run Trace tab

  3. Enter prgenddp for the Program, and J for the Program Arguments

  4. Check Enable Debug Trace, check Include Timestamps, enter 99 for MU_DEBUG level, select Output To option

    1. Generally the Output To option is File only

  5. Check Enable SQL Trace, enter 9 for SQL DEBUG level, select Output To option

    1. Generally the Output To option is File only

  6. Click Run Trace

    1. This opens into the Generate Retro Pay screen.

    2. Click Update, check Retro Record to generate, click Accept

  7. Click Execute. 

  8. Click Back

  9. Select Yes to prompt Munis trace log file generated successfully. Do you wish to transfer the file to your PC?

  10. Select Yes to prompt System trace log file generated successfully. Do you wish to transfer the file to your PC?

    1. After clicking Yes, the trace files should open in Notepad.
