Inventory Central returns no results when searching for an item number that is all alphabetic characters

Inventory Management

By design, the quick search option searches based on description when alpha characters are entered and item number when numeric characters are entered

The quick search option allows the ability to search by Item Number or Description

• If numbers are entered, the search is made by Item Number

• If alphabetic characters are entered, the search is made by Description

To search by item numbers only using alphabetic characters, utilize Advanced Search

This is standard functionality across all Central programs
