Bringing User Accounts Into Munis Using LDAP Sync

Description of Issue

How do I create a new user in Enterprise ERP (Munis) using the LDAP sync tool?

Context
  • Munis

  • Users

  • LDAP

  • Using the LDAP sync tool

  • External User Synch

Cause

Munis user account information needs to match the active directory account exactly. Using the LDAP sync is an easy way to accomplish this.

Resolution
  • Ensure that the new user is created in Active Directory using your standard naming convention

  • Place user in the MunisUsers Active Directory Group (or equivalent group)

  1. Log into EERP with an administrator account

  2. From the Tyler menu, navigate to System Administration > Security > User Attributes

  3. In the ribbon, click LDAP Sync or External User/Employee Synch

  4. Click Define

  5. Fill out Synchronization options

    1. Execute synchronization: select desired time

    2. Connection Definition: select desired user group

    3. Select Review LDAP Accounts not in Munis

  6. Click Accept

  7. Select desired option for how the user accounts are to be created

  8. Click Next

    1. If you selected Create Munis user accounts using an existing account as a model, enter the source User ID, then click Next

  9. Click Finish

  10. Click Execute

  11. The program displays a list of all LDAP user accounts that are in the MunisUsers group, but not in the User Attributes program.

  12. Select the necessary user(s) and click Accept

  13. Select desired report output type

  14. Click OK

  15. Sync results will appear

  16. Click OK when finished
