Support highly recommends upgrading to version 2023.1.7 or higher to mitigate any issues signing into the Citizen Portal. Several fixes and enhancements regarding portal sign-in went into this version.

Steps 1-4 can also be done by Parks & Rec clerks from the admin portal.

  1. Navigate to Parks & Rec > Contact > Search.
  2. Enter the name of the citizen. Click the arrow to the right of their name to Edit the contact.
  3. Click Portal.
  4. Under the ellipse next to their email, click Reset Password.

The temporary passwords sent via email are randomly generated and can be any number of characters. These are hard coded into the program and cannot be configured otherwise. It is highly recommended that citizens copy and paste these temporary passwords, rather than enter them into the password field by hand. In extreme cases, Parks & Rec Support can set a citizen's password to NeedNew1. Please make a case with the Parks & Rec Support team if this is needed.
