How to add or change a Project Code on a GL Account

Is there a way to add an existing Project Code to an existing General Ledger Account?

Is there a way to change the project code that has been assigned to a General Ledger Account?

Existing account needs to have project code added or changed.

First, ensure that this Project Code that you would like to use has been set up in the Project Master program.

Next, please follow the steps below in a Non-Prod Environment first:

Financials>General Ledger Menu>Set Up/Chart Of Accounts>Change General Ledger Account Codes

1. Click Account Change

2. Click Input/Post

3. On the Original Account line, enter the GL Account code as it currently shows in your system

4. On the New Account line, enter the GL Account code to include this Project Code in it

5. Click Accept

6. Click Process

Please verify this account now in the Account Master program to confirm that the Project Code is included.

If so, you can then complete this process in your Prod Environment when all other users are out of EERP.
