Recommended Devices for Accessing TPAR Citizen Portal

Description of Issue

What device or browser should be used to access a site's Parks & Rec Citizen Portal?

Context
  • TPAR
  • Parks & Rec
  • Tyler Parks and Recreation
Cause

Resolution

The Parks & Rec citizen portal was designed to be accessed via a computer or laptop. There is currently no mobile site for Parks & Rec. While the citizen portal can be accessed through a mobile web browser, the user experience is diminished. A PC, Mac, or laptop is recommended to access your local Parks & Rec page.

Additional Information

It is also recommended that the citizen uses Chrome or Firefox as their browser to access this site. Certain versions of Safari and Microsoft Edge have had issues accessing the citizen portal. Internet Explorer is not recommended.

Support highly recommends upgrading to version 2023.1.7 or higher to mitigate any issues signing into the Citizen Portal. Several fixes and enhancements regarding portal sign-in went into this version.
