How to Set a Default File Type when Scanning through the TCM HTML Viewer in Munis

Description of Issue

Looking for a way to set a default file type for scanned images in the TCM HTML Viewer in Munis. 



Context

  • Munis

  • Tyler Content Manager 

  • TCM

  • TCM HTML Viewer 

  • Scanning 



Cause

Images are being saved automatically as either a TIFF or PDF when scanned through the TCM HTML Viewer in Munis. Looking for a default to the preferred file type. 



Resolution

Please complete the below steps via the TCM HTML Viewer to specify a default file type:

  1. Navigate to the Scan Settings (Gear icon located to the right of the Scanner icon itself) 

  2. Under Scan to TIFF or PDF, please select either TIFF or PDF depending on what file type you would like your scanned items to automatically save as

  3. Click OK 

  4. Scanning images through the TCM HTML Viewer will now automatically save as the chosen file type.
