Cashiering How to Remove Hardware Console Configuration

Description of Issue

After uninstalling Cashiering Hardware Console and reinstalling, existing configurations are present within the Cashiering Hardware Console.

Context
  • Tyler Cashiering

Cause

If the Cashiering folder is not purged from the workstation the existing JSON file is still present which holds existing configuration information last used.

Resolution

The HardwareConfig.json file can be edited to remove the configuration information following the steps below:

  • Navigate to the Hardware Console folder:

    • Ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tyler Technologies\Tyler Cashiering\CashieringXXXX.X.X\Hardware Console

    • Locate the HardwareConfig.json file and edit with notepad:

      • Remove hardware name that is no longer required:

        • Ex. EPSON S9000U

      • Save
