Apache Tomcat Service Shutting Down Unexpectedly

Description of Issue

TCM Tomcat service is not starting. Apache Service will start then fail after a few minutes. Munis programs show this error Asynchronous connection Failed. Tylercm log will show this error: 

Failed to create server shutdown socket on address [localhost] and port [XXXX] (base port [XXXX] and offset [0])
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: xxx_xxxx

Context
  • Content Manager (TCM)

  • EERP

  • Apache Tomcat

Cause

TCM database shutdown port is taken by another service. 

Resolution

Please contact Tyler Systems Management Support or log a case via the Online Support Client Portal

Additional Information

Tylercm logs can be found on the content manager server. For example, E:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\tomcat_tylercmprod\logs\tylercmprod
