Available before going live on the Capital Assets module:
- Capital Assets Conversion Utility:
- Only used with the assistance of Implementation
- Brings prior year assets from a legacy system into the EERP Capital Assets module in preparation for going live
- Running the faconvrt Capital Asset import utility
Available after going live on the Capital Assets module:
- Import/Export to ASCII:
- Can be used after going live
- Originally created to be used with barcode scanners to conduct annual inventories
- Often used without scanners to create assets in a status of New, but the New assets still require manual updates to populate required fields before they can be posted
- Can also be used without scanners to update certain fields on existing assets
- How to run the Import Export to ASCII Program
- Capital Assets Update Import:
- Can be used after going live
- Often used to check assets in/out to employees
- Can also be used to update certain fields on existing assets
- Offers many more fields than the Import/Export to ASCII program, which in turn makes it a more cumbersome import file
