How to reverse a Journal Reversal

How do you reverse a GRV journal that was created in the Journal Reversal program?

General Ledger

Journal Reversal

Cause

Resolution

The Journal Reversal program can be used to reverse GRV Journals.

General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry History > Journal Reversal

  1. Click Search

  2. Enter the Year, Period and Journal Number for the Journal to be reversed

  3. Click Accept

  4. Click Reverse

  5. Enter the Year, Period, Effective date and Comment for the new journal

  6. Click Accept

  7. Click Output Post

This process will generate a GRV Journal to reverse the amounts from the original Journal.

GRV Journals that reversed a previous entry can be reversed themselves.
