TPAR - Invoice Paid in Full Indicates Negative Balance

TPAR - Invoice Paid in Full Indicates Negative Balance

Description of Issue
  • There are invoices that appear to have been paid in full, but are still showing a balance of a negative number.

  • When you look at the receipt that relates to the invoice, there is a discrepancy between what was paid on the receipt, and what is showing paid on the invoice.

  • After an upgrade or refresh, paid invoices were erroneously charged again.

Context
  • TPAR

  • Parks & Rec

  • Tyler Parks and Recreation

Cause

During a refresh or upgrade, previously paid or refunded transactions sometimes do not carry over correctly, so the invoice's payment status changes. This can also occur when a receipt with multiple line items is refunded and reapplied.

Resolution

Contact Parks & Rec Support with the following information:

  • Affected invoice number(s).

  • Indication of prior payment (a receipt, external system record, etc.)
