Is there a way to create the NC3 file in the text file format required by the NC Secretary of Revenue?

The NC3 must be submitted electronically, but is not required in a text file format.

Use the following steps to complete the form online using the Manual Entry option from NCDOR: 

1. Open the Accumulators Report program

2. Select Search

3. Populate the following fields as detailed below: 

   1. Year - Enter the Year you are reporting NC3 details for

   2. Earning/Deduction - Enter your NC SIT Deduction code(s). (Example: 4000)

   3. Frequency - Enter M (Monthly) or Q (Quarterly), based on your filing frequency for withholding taxes.

4. Select Accept

5. Select Report Options

6. Select Define

7. Click Totals Only

8. Select Accept

9. Select Back

10. Select PDF

11. Transfer the amounts in the Employee Amount column for each Month or Quarter to your NC3 form online.
