Payment Reversal Effective Date

Reversal uses Effective Date of original payment.

Cannot Change Effective Date on Reversal Receipt.

Reversal Effective date does not match GL Effective date.

Reversed Receipts are not included in aging report even with Aging Date set to prior the reversal.

Users may find payment reports for a certain timeframe do not match what was recorded for the day. This is because EERP does not have true 'as of' reporting and will un-include reversed payments even with an Effective Date set to before the reversal was processed. 

This is to keep from including things like checks that have already bounced.

The Effective Date is used to calculate interest. So, to properly un-calculate interest the Effective Date for the Reversal must match the Effective Date for the initial payment. Because of this, we do not have access to this Effective Date field when processing a reversal.
