Unable to change the first period of depreciation on an Active asset:

• First period of depreciation is grayed out when in Update mode in Adjustments and Retirements

• First period of depreciation is grayed out on Adjustment and Improvement transactions

Fixed/Capital Assets

Depreciation convention was set to half-year in Fixed/Capital Asset Settings and/or Sub-Class Codes programs

It is by design that when half-year depreciation convention is used, the first period of depreciation will default in and cannot be changed to ensure a half year's worth of depreciation is taken in the first year
