Unable to update Employee Expense pay code amount in Earnings and Deductions in Payroll



Description of Issue

I need to be able to adjust the amount on an Employee Expense pay code in the payroll but when I try to change it, it will not save the change. 



Context

Cause

Employee Expense pay codes with a Category K-Employee Expense in Pay Master cannot be changed in payroll. 



Resolution
  1. Go to Pay Master (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Pay Master)

  2. Search for the pay code. 

  3. Click Update. Change the Category to 6-Misc/Other. 

  4. Click Accept. 

  5. Go back into Earnings and Deductions in the payroll (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status>Earnings and Deductions)

  6. Search for the employee. Click Update. 

  7. Click the Pays tab. Delete the Employee Expense pay code. 

  8. Click Add and add the pay code back in. Update the amounts as needed. Click Accept. 

  9. Go back to Pay Master and Update the Category back to K-Employee Expense.
