The receipt batch had a canceled receipt within it that had an incorrect, invalid, and unused Journal Year, Period, and GL Effective Date.
Development is currently researching the issue. While the Receipt Inquiry screen may show an incorrect Journal Year, Period, or GL Effective Date, the Journal Number and link to Journal Inquiry are not affected and will work as normal. Reports and reconciliation processes should likewise function properly; output from Receipt Inquiry being the only known source of confusion.
The issue is related to the way a new data structure for Batches was populated during the upgrade migration. The batch is believed to grab the first receipt it comes across within a batch and use the information from that receipt to populate the new Batches table in the database. If that first receipt it runs across had incomplete GL information resulting from a receipt that did not actually impact the GL, the resulting Batches record in the database could potentially also have incomplete GL info. Receipt Inquiry displays the data from the new Batches record within the Journal Year, Period, and GL Effective Date fields. Most, if not all, reports will instead utilize the Journal Id that is directly tied to each individual Receipt record in the database and thus will not be affected by the issue.
