Deduction exceptions not being excluded

Description of Issue

Deduction's using exception type of 2 - NO DEDUCTIONS ARE EXEMPTED EXCEPT aren't excluding the defined deduction amounts 



Context

  • Enterprise Human Resource Management

  • Payroll processing



Cause

If a deduction is prenoted the amount calculated for the deduction isn't withheld and isn't included in deduction exception calculations. 



Resolution

Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions

  1. Click Search and find the impacted employee's prenoted deduction

  2. Remove the Prenote checkbox. 

Delete and re-add the deduction in Payroll > Payroll Processing > Payroll Start and Status > Payroll Earnings and Deductions

This situation has come up with employee paid Health Savings Accounts that are paid via ACHÂ
