Action flag needed for Employee Import

I received an error processing my Employee Pay import. The error states:

The Action Flag field in the flat line is required

• Enterprise ERP Munis 2019.1 and higher

• Employee Import

• Flexible imports 

• Custom Templates

An Action Flag listed was not listed in the import file or custom template. 

The Action Flag column needs to be added to the Custom Template:

1. Go to Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Import

2. Click Custom Templates in the toolbar. Select applicable Import type Radio Button. Click Ok.

3. Locate the Template being used and click View.

4. Click Continue. 

5. Select the Applicable drop down arrow and click on Action Flag. Click Save. Click Return. 

6. Add a new column to the import file, titled Action Flag. 

   1. The values for the Action Flag are either A - Add, U - Update, D - Delete. This needs to be defined in the import file on each line.

   2. The Import file can also be used to create the Template if needed. (See document link in Additional Information)

The Action Flag field is hard coded in Munis versions 2019.1 and higher.
