Employee Accruals-employee not earning at Default Rate

Description of Issue

An employee with the right amount of Service time is not earning at the full Default Rate that is defined on the Accrual Table and shows on the Employee Accrual record for that Type and Table. The default rate is 10 hours, but the employee only earns 2.5 when the Accrual Update is run.

Cause

Use FTE Processing is checked on the Accrual Table under Settings tab, and employee has FTE% defined as 0.25 on Employee Job/Salary base pay record.

Resolution

Uncheck use FTE Processing on Accrual Table:

  1. Navigate to Payroll>Payroll Setup>Accrual Tables.

  2. Search for Type and Table. Click Accept.

  3. Click Update. 

  4. Click Settings tab.

  5. Uncheck Use FTE Processing.

  6. Click Accept.

Adjust employee's defined FTE:

  1. Navigate to Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Job/Salary.

  2. Search for employee's base pay record using Current search period.

  3. Click Accept.

  4. Click Update.

  5. TAB to FTE% field.

  6. Update value.

  7. Click Accept. 

Additional Information

Use FTE percentage will prorate earnings based on employee's FTE. For example, an FTE of 1 will earn the full default rate, but an FTE of 0.5 will earn half that amount.
