Description of Issue

Reading is greater than number of dials while running Calculate Charges: reading is greater than number of dials (7)

Context

Cause

The number of dials on the meter in the Meters program is not large enough to store the reading that exists on the metered service in Calculate Charges

Resolution

Property Revenues > Utility Billing > Meter/Flat Inventory Management > Meters 

  1. Click Search

  2. Enter the meter number in the on the Meter Serial # field

  3. Click Accept

  4. Click the Update Detail button at the bottom of the screen

  5. Using the Tab Key on your keyboard, tab to the # of dials field and update to an 8 or 9

  6. Click Accept

This will now allow you to update the reading in the Calculate Charges program and run Calculate ALL and there error will not surface
