Alerts are separate from workflow, even though they are typically grouped together within the UI.  Alert Administration can be found in the EERP menu by the following:

Click Enterprise ERP > System Administration > Alert Administration > Alerts (Administration Mode)

Alerts are then configured through this module. With here clients can setup necessary Alerts and edit any additional settings. When you access the program as Alerts (Administration Mode), you can add or update reminder alerts; when you access the program as Alerts, you can view details, but you cannot add new alerts or make changes to existing alerts.
