Employee did not earn enough accruals in the payroll



Description of Issue
  • Accrual earned reflecting LWOP subtracting from base twice, but employee paid correctly

  • Employee not earning enough accrual time through payroll when there is dock pay in the payroll

Resolution

The system will reduce the amount of accrual time earned within payroll if the employee has hours for a dock pay in the payroll.



Resolution

If do not want the amount of accrual time earned within payroll reduced when the employee has hours for a dock pay in the payroll, change the impact code to Add on the Pay Master.

  1. Search for the dock pay in Pay Master (Payroll > Payroll Setup > Pay Master)

  2. Click the Impact Accruals tab

  3. Click Update

  4. Change the Impact to Add for any accrual types earned within payroll that should not be reduced.



Additional Information

Dock pay is a pay type set up with Category code 7-Dock Pay on the Pay Master
