Description of Issue

When printing an attachment the user is receiving the error Unable to prepare attachment: [object Object].

Context

  • Enterprise ERP

  • EERP

Cause

  • The file name of the attachment is invalid.

  • The system is reading the file extension as 1.2.2024.pdf, instead of .pdf

Resolution

Rename the file to a valid file extension, delete the current attachment with the invalid file extension, then re-attach the updated file.

Additional Information

  • It is important that the file extension, be it .DOC, .PDF, etc., consists only of alphabetic characters before the period separating the extension from the rest of the file name.

    • For example, a file named abc 1.2.2024.pdf will be recognized by the system as having the extension 1.2.2024.pdf, which is not a valid format because the system cannot recognize it as a .PDF file.
