Pending approvals slow to calculate when criteria is setup for location and company with 10,000 employees

Description of Issue

When workflow criteria is setup at both the location and org unit level and includes a significant number of employees the pending approvals calculation can be slow causing pages to take a long time to display (20+ seconds).
