Unable to Approve supervisors time off request

Client reported issues with supervisors time off request that the approvers above this supervisor could not approve the time.

The client setup the supervisor setup in workflow with a criteria to approve the entire department. Their security did not allow them to approve their own time/time off requests. The individuals that the client wanted to approve the supervisors time was assigned to the supervisor as secondary since the supervisor could approve the entire department. The client assumed that because the criteria of the primary was the entire department that they would be able to approve the supervisors time as secondary approves. But since the security was set to not allow it would not.

To resolve you must have the users setup as their own primary approver.

Add an Approver to Workflow Management in Time and Attendance

For the criteria the client opted to use Employee Active and selected the supervisor in question.
