Import Journals - Schedule Journal Import

Client would like to schedule the import of GL journal

• Import Journals

• Scheduler Queue

• General Ledger

• Journal Imports

 A job must be set up in the Munis Scheduler Queue to automate the import of a General Ledger file.

1. Navigate to Financials > General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry/History > Import Journals

2. Click Define

3. In the dropdown Execute this import, select At a scheduled time

4. Fill the other fields in the form

   1. Import File should be selected using the Server File option.

      1. The file name will need to be the same on every import, and it will need to be within the directory listed at the bottom of the screen after selecting Server File.

   2. Remove Import File should be selected, unless there is an FTP job setup to move the file out after import. 

   3. FTP's can be established to ensure that the file is moved and named appropriately prior to each scheduled occurrence

5. Click Accept

6. In the Munis Scheduler window that appears, specify desired settings and click OK

7. Navigate to System Administration > Scheduler Administration > Scheduler Queue to see that a job has been created for this import
