• How does the TX TRS program know which funds to pull in as Eligible Compensation Paid from Federal Funds/Private Grants?
• How does the TRS Report Generate calculate federal compensation?

• If it's a Position 07 employee, reference TX TRS Eligible Comp from Federal Funds amount is including non federal earnings on Position 07 employees
• Otherwise, federal compensation is a sum of earnings in the period that were paid from a Fund defined in the TX Federal Funds Maintenance program. 

NOTE: The Federal Fund/Private Grant contribution is not collected for new employees in their first 90 days and the Generate will calculate a $0 contribution amount for these employees.  The Federal TRS-Care Contribution is collected for new employees and will calculate the amount based on the federal compensation amount and the value in the Federal TRS-Care field on the Contribution Rates tab of the TRS Generate screen.
