Update a Title to Redeemed
Description of Issue
A title has been fully paid off or otherwise redeemed and the status needs to be changed to redeemed.
Context
- MA Tax
- Titles
- Redemption/Foreclosure Update (ttforeup)
Cause
A title needs to change status to redeemed because there has been a completion of payment or legal action.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Redemption/Foreclosure Update program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Northeast > Massachusetts > Tax Title Processing/Reports > Redemption/Foreclosure Update
- Click Search in the top ribbon.
- Enter the Title Year and Title Number or Parcel.
- Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to select the correct record if multiple search results are returned.
- Click Change Status.
- Click Define.
- Choose Redeemed from the Change Status To dropdown menu.
- Choose a Status Reason if available.
- Enter the Redeemer if desired.
- Enter the Redemption Book/Page if desired.
- Click Accept.
- Click Post.
- A message displays: Post Complete.
- Click OK.
