Adding or Updating Private Web Services to Munis Users
Description of Issue
- Users need access to a Munis module's web service(s)
- How to update user's web service accessÂ
Context
- Munis
- Web Services
Cause
- Access is needed to a private service
- Public service updated to private and needed users no longer can utilize the service
Resolution
- Go to Munis > System Administration > General Administration > Web ServiceÂ
- Click Private Services
- Select the tab for preferred method of update
- User View
- Select the User Id
- Access on the left grants access to Private web services not open and available to the selected user Id at this time.
- Highlight the needed service on the left hand side
- Add >Â Enter key, double click service or Accept button performs same action.
- Adds the service to the left hand side window for services open for select user use. Â
- The next service will auto select on the left and if services needed in sequential order step can be repeated as many times as needed.
- All>>Â will simply add every private web service for all modules to the selected user
- Add >Â Enter key, double click service or Accept button performs same action.
- Done on the left to disable the access session and reopen the User Id section
- Repeat process for next user if needed
- Back when finished
- Service View
- Select the Private Web Service
- Use the same (a-f) steps listed under User View but this is adding users to a service instead of adding a service to a user.

Additional Information
- There is no method to hold control or shift to select multiple selections at a time. Â

- If service is set as public it is auto removed as a private service from the user
- if public service is flagged as private users lose access until it is added to their user Id
