Running and Processing Utilities Using Scheduler

Description of Issue

Is it possible to run and process utilities using the Scheduler?

Context
  • Munis
  • Scheduler
Cause
  • Users are logged into Munis early in the morning and into the late evenings
  • After hours or the weekend would be best time to run utilities
  • Utilities take a very long time to run
  • Limited processing power on server needs to be managed carefully
Resolution
Additional Information

***IMPORTANT*** DO NOT process a utility in Live/Production unless you are the only user in Munis knowing the full impact following a backup of the database

  • Schedule Job for Munis Report or Utility Output

  • Discrepancies are a result of a data condition and the accounts and associated transactions/encumbrances should be review prior to processing any utility
  • If applicable, test in a non-Live environment before processing in Live
    • Scheduler Engines might be disabled in Train and Test databases or following a refresh multiples of scheduled reports typically of old data can be received
