Resolution

SaaS is a delivery model in which software is centrally hosted (in the cloud) and delivered over the Internet via a web browser. The benefits of SaaS over locally hosted, or Self-Hosted solutions can be broken down into many topics, however the two main benefits are that

  1. You do not have to purchase expensive hardware.

  2. Services are purchased on a subscription basis rather than an up-front licensing cost, often referred to as a perpetual license model where on-going maintenance fees can add up over the years. SaaS allows vendors to deliver a single solution with a singular point of support and management.

  • Simplified Administrative Tasks
Besides being centrally hosted and managed, you can also have ease of mind over administrative tasks because Tyler support engineers manage these for you. These tasks include system maintenances, upgrades, database backups and restores, and more.

  • Predictable Cost
You can enjoy a fixed cost for your contract duration, which allows you to have predictable yearly costs. With your multi-year contract, you will always know what you are paying.

  • Managed Security
Tyler will manage all aspects of security with your hosted solution, from industry leading VPN technology, antivirus, and monitoring, to full backups, failover, and disaster recovery.

  • 24/7 Support
Lastly, you and your users will never need to worry about an issue with your environment no matter the time of day. You can contact us during business hours and you can always reach our on-call staff after hours.
