Fund requires a sub fund for balancing error- not using secondary balancing

Description of Issue

When entering a journal or invoice for certain funds, an error shows: Fund requires a sub fund for balancing.

GL Settings shows secondary balancing is not used- the field is blank.

General Journal Entry

Accounting Entries

Payment Entry 

Invoice Entry



Cause

The FundDatas table has one or more NULL or blank value(s) for BalancingSegment instead of 1 for fund.



Resolution

  • Please contact General Ledger Support. 

  • It's likely that a script will need to be run by Support.
