How to create new accounts using the project code

• How to mass create GL accounts with new project code

• User needs instructions for adding accounts with new 5 digit project code by referencing accounts with an old 4 digit code.

• Account Mass Creation

• Project Master

• Create the new project code in Project Master then mass create accounts in the Account Mass Creation program.  

• This process will take any General Ledger account tied to the old project code and create new GL accounts with the same org/object and add the new project code to it.

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set up/Chart of Accounts > Project Master 

1. Add new project code

2. Fill out rest of the fields as needed

3. Accept

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set up/Chart of Accounts >Account Mass Creation

1. Click Define Project

2. Model project- enter the old project number

3. Target project- enter the new project number

4. Accept
