Processing error occurred While Generating New Tax Year

The message Processing error occurred. An entry has been written to the error log. is received while generating a new tax year in Generate New Tax Year for real estate. The error log reads: Execute insert_txremast failed - 2551.

There are already tax parcels for the specified year to be generated. This is usually caused by the CAMA file being imported into the Tax Year or Both. 

1. Navigate to Parcel Inquiry either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Inquiry > Parcel Inquiry

2. Click Search.

3. Enter the year and select 1 - Tax from the version dropdown. 

4. If records return, navigate to Tax Year Settings either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Assessor Setup > Tax Year Settings

5. Click Search. 

6. Enter the year and 20 for the AR category. 

7. If the process status is 1, continue with the bill run as if the Generate New Tax Year step had been completed. 

8. If the process status is 0, please contact Tax Support for the appropriate region. 

The Generate New Tax Year program updates the process status of the Tax Year Setting to a 1 and copies the current parcel records into a fresh tax database for that year. When records are already in the tax database, it cannot copy current to tax like it usually would. Please verify that the amount of tax parcels for the appropriate year is correct.
