Valuations or exemptions are incorrect on Paid Tax Statement



Description of Issue

The tax value and/or exemption amounts for a parcel or property are incorrect on a Paid Tax Statement. 



Context
  • Property Tax Billing

  • Paid Tax Statement 

  • Bill Inquiry (arbilinq) 

  • Tax Statements (txtaxstm)



Cause

The Paid Tax Statement populates the valuation and exemption amounts based on the Current record, not the Tax record. 



Resolution

For Real Estate (Accounts Receivable Category 20) Paid Tax Statements, follow this resolution: 

  1. Navigate to the Parcel Inquiry program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Inquiry > Parcel Inquiry

  2. Click Search. 

  3. Select 0 - Current from the Version dropdown menu. 

  4. Enter the Parcel. 

  5. Click Accept. 

  6. The values printed on the Paid Tax Statement should match what is listed for values at the bottom of the screen in the Current Year column. The exemptions should match the total of the contents in the Exemption folder. 

  7. If the Paid Tax Statement is not populating the amounts from the Current Parcel record found above, please contact Tax Support for the appropriate region.  

For Personal Property (Accounts Receivable Category 25) Paid Tax Statements, follow this resolution:

  1. Navigate to the Personal Property Inquiry program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Inquiry > Personal Property Inquiry

  2. Click Search. 

  3. Select 0 - Current from the Version dropdown menu. 

  4. Enter the Property ID. 

  5. Click Accept. 

  6. The values printed on the Paid Tax Statement should match what is listed for values at the bottom of the screen in the Values summary. The exemptions should match the total of the contents in the Exemption folder. 

  7. If the Paid Tax Statement is not populating the amounts from the Current Personal Property record found above, please contact Tax Support for the appropriate region.
