Paymentus Venmo Payments for Citizen Self Service
The Paymentus Responsive One Time payment application allows for Venmo payments, can this be used with Munis Citizen Self Service?Â
We tested a venmo payment through Paymentus and the payment is not showing in the web payments import program.

The flow of processing payments using Venmo and Paymentus does not allow for Munis to capture and record the payment as it would with other payment methods. This is due to the customer having to access Venmo from their mobile phone and not the computer that initiated the payment in CSS.
IF your site wants to use Venmo payments with Paymentus, manual entry of the payments into Munis will be required.
When the customer goes to Munis CSS and selects pay the customer will not be passed directly to their mobile device to make the payment in Paymentus via real time for Venmo
The customer is going thru Munis CSS and selecting what they want to pay and then they are passed over to Paymentus to make the payment via real time in the Responsive One Time Payment web channel and the customer can  choose to pay using debit, credit, eCheck, PayPal, PayPal Credit, or Amazon
The customer will not be able to select Venmo within Paymentus because the customer has to go directly to their mobile device to make the payment thru Paymentus
The Customer would have to get out of the Paymentus Responsive One Time and go to their mobile device and using the Venmo app make the payment
