Setting up Two-Factor Authentication for ESS





Description of Issue

Stop bots from attempting to gain access to our ESS system because it's public-facing.

Implement some sort of CAPTCHA or a way to prevent bots from attempting to log in.

What are the options to enable MFA in ESS



Context
  • Enterprise ERP

  • Employee Self Service (ESS)

  • Multi-Factor Authentication

  • 2FA for ESS

  • ESS MFA



Cause

Organization would like to enforce Multi-Factor Authentication for ESS.



Resolution
  1. Navigate to your ESS Hosting page

    1. The URL can be found on your latest Site Report or in Tyler Deploy

  2. Login Credentials can be found on your latest Site Report

  3. Click Edit on the environment you wish to update

  4. Select Authentication Configuration on the sidebar

  5. Scroll down and review the options for Multi-Factor Authentication
