Increase timeout on ESS

Description of Issue

Users are being kicked out of ESS too soon and we would like to increase the length of time before being automatically logged out of ESS.

Is there a way to change the length of time before a time out occurs after you log into ESS?

Cause

Time out session time needs to be adjusted

Resolution

SaaS clients:

On-Premise clients:

  1. Navigate to your organizations ESS Hosting webpage for the appropriate environment

    1. Please refer to your Site Report for the ESS Hosting URL and mssadmin credentials

  2. On the left side, click Client Configuration

  3. Click Edit on the appropriate environment

  4. Scroll to the field Self Service user session timeout

  5. Enter the new value in the unit of minutes

  6. Click Update Client to save the change
